Your First Visit

Your first visit is a very important one! It’s the time that we have a chance to get to know you, and you have a chance to get to know us. In order to reduce any anxiety you may feel, this page will walk you through what will happen at that first visit. We want to give you the best care possible, and that starts right now!

What to Expect

10When you come in, we’ll do the following:

  • Review your medical/dental history
  • Take X-rays
  • Take pictures of the inside of your mouth
  • Listen to your needs and find out what you’re looking for
  • Evaluate your overall dental health
  • Do a soft tissue/joint exam
  • Do a cancer exam
  • Take your blood pressure

You will meet with Dr. Hull and talk about any concerns you may have. They will study your x-rays and the results of you dental exam, and then put together a treatment plan specific to your needs. When presenting this information to you they will answer your questions and seek your input into their recommendations.

What to Bring

  • Completed patient information forms
  • Insurance card

Where We Go from Here

According to the American Dental Association, you should see your dentist every six months for checkups and cleanings. This will contribute to keeping both your teeth and your gums healthy.

One important thing to note is that generally, the first visit takes about 90 minutes. Subsequent visits take about an hour.
